If you’re a sports fanatic, Leon’s on Brookside is a great place to go. It’s in a great location on South Peoria in Tulsa. This past Sunday, my boyfriend, a few others, and I all went to Leon’s so that we could watch the afternoon football game. The people I went with were Bills fans. I, myself is a Steelers fan. Luckily, they weren’t playing each other! Ha!
I had never been to Leon’s before and I must say that when I was told how this restaurant is a great place to watch sports, I had to agree. There were T.V.s everywhere I looked. They were in the dining area all along walls; as well as all along the bar. The bar is a decent size and looks very clean. We were all quite pleased to see that not only their football game (the Bills) was on, but so was mine (the Steelers)…as well as about 10 or 15 other football games.
Our waitress was extremely friendly and efficient. Even though it was PACKED because of the football games, not a single one of us four ever had an empty drink. Our food came out without much wait, and she continuously checked to see if we needed anything. Talk about great service!
Our meals came, and the only complaint that any of us had seemed to be the same: the fries were cold. I had ordered two bacon cheddar sliders and fresh cut french fries. The burgers were good: not bad, but not amazing either. The french fries, though were cold when they came out. I didn’t even want to eat them. Our one friend got a burger and seasoned fries. His fries came out cold too.
After our meal, we hung around to watch some of the game and to digest our food a little. We then asked about dessert. She named their three desserts. My boyfriend and I shared a piece of chocolate cake. The only way I can describe their chocolate cake was “a chocolate lover’s paradise”. It was delicious! If you aren’t much of a chocolate fan, don’t get this cake. It is quite rich, but very, very tasty!
